Motto: “It takes ah Lotta Stories to Make One Nation”. Every nation is a collection of sovereign individuals. Every individual tells a story. And every single story is important in its very own way.

BigDrumNation is a free-access Caribbean creative journal with a focus on poetry, music, prose, visual art, criticism, theatre, bulletins, reviews, and interviews.

Our motto: “It Takes ah Lotta Stories to Make One Nation”, expresses our view that a national community is a blend of very many voices.

Please add your own distinctive voice to our Caribbean story.

Send your story to submissions@bigdrumnation.com /bigdrumnation@gmail.com

Thank you

  1. Hello. My name is Richard Anthony Perry Jr. but you can call me Richie, as most people know me, or by my pen name, Raafeke. I am writing this comment just to hopefully connect with likeminded people. I am 21, originally born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, although I live in the south now. My father was born in Guyana, and my mother, though American like me, was conceived by two Grenadian/Kayak parents, Rosalind and Vernon Arthur. I hope to hear back and simply start conversation. I am a writer and Afro-Caribbean spiritualist as well.
